SURE, WHY NOT?

SURE, WHY NOT?

Our story began with a bit of match making among one of Laura’s brothers and the In-Laws of one of Josh’s sisters. While we were two strangers to each other, our families have known each other for years. Josh happily acquired Laura’s phone number and even after her initial need to proceed with caution (some would say rejection), our story began to develop more. Many texts and phone calls later, we eventually decided to take the next step and meet in person. Mini golf was the plan,

but had to be scratched because of a heat advisory. So, Chick-fil-a and a picnic

at McFarland Park along the Tennessee River was our first “date”. Then just a

week later we made it official that we were a couple. As time passed on, many

weekend trips between Atlanta, Florence, Athens and Auburn have kept us busy

with visiting our families, fun times, and growing our relationship. On February 24, 2024,

Josh planned another special date at McFarland Park. It was there he asked Laura to marry

him. Of course she said “YES!”, even though he texted his father that she said, “Sure, Why Not?”. We are excited to continue our journey together in the union of marriage that God instituted from the very beginning of time. We ask for your prayers- for our marriage; that we look to our Heavenly Father for guidance all the days of our lives; that we will continue to grow in our love for Him as well as each other.
